Effect of Particle Breakage on Strength Characteristics of Limestone Aggregate

Particle breakage is one of the issues that significantly affect strength characteristics aggregate. In this paper, pre-crushed limestone aggregate was evaluated through investigating friction angle, stress–strain behaviour, and single-particle strength. The particle phenomenon studied for samples prepared at different conditions, including non-soaked samples, water-soaked acid-soaked samples. purpose preparing conditions to simulate effect environmental factors on behaviour test program paper consists two phases triaxial tests: initial shearing second shearing. results showed remarkable variations among since tended experience more after being soaked in water acid solution.
